Who does Stevens Pump Company sell to?

Stevens Pump Company only sells to wholesalers and Plumbing Supply Houses.

Stevens Pump Co. DOES NOT SELL TO:

Mass Merchandisers This means you will not see our product in any retailers such as: Home Depot, Builders Squarer , Menards etc.... Consignment Representatives We do not sell to Consignment Representatives because we like to keep some control of our prices. This way homeowners are not being taken advantage and can purchase a great product for a reasonable price.

We are sorry to say that we do not sell to the homeowner. Homeowners can purchase our pumps on-line at sump-pumps.com. The homeowner is more than welcome to call our toll free (800) number and one of our friendly customer service representatives will be more than happy to help you in anyway they can. We pride ourselves in our customer service and our products. Everyone is family at Stevens Pump Company.

There is no Factory Representative in my area, what do I do?

If there is no Factory Representative in your area you call (800)443-6533 and we will assist you in purchasing the product you are interested in.

I already have a Stevens Pump but it is out of warranty and I think something is wrong with my pump?

You can call (800)443-6533 and we will assist you in finding what the problem is and the cost of repair. First you should check the question on "How do I know if I need a Repair Kit?" (below).

What is a Repair Kit and how do I buy one ?

Stevens's Pump has designed 2 types of repair kits. The 35RK repairs any 1/3 HP product made by Stevens Pump Company and the 50RK repairs any 1/2 HP product made by Stevens Pump Company. The repair kits are a low cost way of repairing any Stevens product when professional help is not available. both kits include OEM parts and instructions to repair most common causes of malfunction. How do I know if I need a Repair Kit?

The signs of needing a repair kit are:

1) If you notice any change in turn on height or turn off height.
2) If your pump does not drain entire pit (excluding the last 3-4 inches) in one cycle.
3) If your pump is humming or not pumping.

Should there be water in the pit when the pump has run its full cycle?

This is a popular question. The fact is all pumps will leave 3-4 inches of water in the bottom of your pit.

What is a switch activator?

A switch activator is a simple device that allows for remote activation of the pressure diaphragm switch.

How do I know if I need a switch activator and where can I buy one?

You do not have to have a switch activator but it gives you a piece of mind in dr weather

How can I clean my pump?

There are 2 steps to cleaning you pump:

Step1: Place pump upright in a area where the pump can be washed or hosed down with out making a mess.

Step2: Proceed to clean off any accumulated debris. NOTE: DO NOT SPRAY or INJECT WATER or AIR INTO THE TUBE RUNNING DOWN THE SIDE OF THE PUMP. DO NOT SUBMERSE PUMP UPSIDE DOWN.
